BHU MCA Entrance Exam

BHU MCA 

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) directs BHU MCA PET entrance exam for admission to its three-year full time Master of computer Applications (MCA) course. This course offered by the university is highly preferred by MCA aspirants around the country for its academic structure that combines classroom learning and practical experience. This Postgraduate Entrance (PET) exam is conducted every year in the month of May/June before the start of the academic year. The university invites applications for BHU MCA entrance through its notification that is published in the month of February.

Eligibility for BHU MCA PET 2017

Bachelor's Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate, (including all subjects studied at Bachelor's level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet.) with Mathematics as one of the subjects at either Intermediate or +2 (10+2) or equivalent examination, or, Bachelor's level (as a main or a subsidiary subject).

BHU MCA 2017 Application / Registration Procedure: 

Eligible and interested persons wishing to apply for BHU MCA 2017 exam are required to apply online on www.bhuonline.in. Please note that PET Information bulletin and Application Form will not be sold and candidates wishing to apply are required to fill the BHU MCA PET 2017 online application form. 

BHU MCA application fee:

• For General category candidates: Rs 500/-.
• For SC/ST category candidates: Rs 250/-.

Payment of application fee for BHU PET can be done online through debit/credit card or offline through cash payment in the form of challan in any branch of HDFC Bank.

BHU MCA 2017 admit card for BHU PET can be downloaded from www.bhuonline.in a fortnight before the examination. You are required to enter your unique registration ID to download BHU MCA 2017 admit card. SMS alert will be sent to candidates who have registered their mobile numbers for SMS alerts.

BHU MCA Syllabus

BHU MCA 2017 Syllabus: 

Mathematical Aptitude Test Areas (+2 Level): Logarithms, Inequalities, Matrices and Determinants, Progressions, Binomial Expansion, Permutation and Combination, Equations (upto degree 2), Function and Relation, Complex Arithmetic, 2-D Coordinate Geometry, Basics of Calculus, Basic Concepts of Probability.

Analytical and Logical Reasoning:- Questions will be mainly for checking logical conclusion, graphical/data interpretation,etc.

Paper Pattern

BHU MCA 2017 Paper Pattern: 

There shall be one paper of 150 minutes duration carrying 450 marks containing 150 multiple- choice questions on Mathematical Aptitude (about 100 questions), and Analytical and Logical Reasoning (about 50 questions).

There shall be negative marking in entrance tests for all Courses of study in PET. Three marks shall be awarded for each correct answer while one mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. Unattempted question will be awarded zero mark.
